Client: Vagabund via Achso!

I worked with Achso! - a Berlin-based boutique, full-service digital marketing, and visual design agency, as part of their team, we worked closely with Vagabund to redesign their old website according to the new branding Achso! has created. I was in charge of planning, carrying out, and designing the website.

But really, what did I do?

I ran several workshops with Achso! and Vagabund to understand their needs, website map, navigation structure, and interaction. I collaborated with Johan (branding) and Alona (UI \ Graphic design) on the final styling of the website. All in all - we made a website happen and had good beer in the process.

Outcome

The project was fully implemented and is currently live for all beer fans in the world to see.

Deconstructing information

Basing the information structure on Vagabond’s personas of beer experts and beer enthusiasts, I tried out several layers of information according to their complexity in relation to each adjacent persona.

A 3D beer label

We tried out different interaction concepts that i created as functional prototypes in Webflow but eventually, we decided to focus on blowing up the part that compiles the beer labels.

In more simple terms: beer enthusiasts care about less nerdy things than beer experts, but according to the data Vagabund had on their audience, we still wanted them to be able to discover the complex yet beer-warding world of hops and other nerdy beer things.
